Reading we started with the question of the day.  We reviewed high-frequency words.  We recognized the vowel variant al and ough.  We read words with al, ough, and other known letter sounds.  We used details and prior knowledge to make inferences.  (7.2,analyze/evaluate information)  We reviewed antonyms and used a thesaurus to identify antonyms.  (3.2,understand antonyms, 7.1a,understand reference materials) We reviewed robust vocabulary and demonstrated knowledge of word meaning.  In grammar we wrote helping verbs correctly in sentences.

Math we used a number line to count forward and count backward.  We did practice pages 423-424. (2.1a, develop the concept of place value)
