Reading we started with the question of the day.  We reviewed high-frequency words.  We recognized the /o/ sound using aw, au.  We read longer words with aw, au, and other known letter sounds.  We recognized cause and effect relationships in a story.  (5.4a,identify cause/effect relationships) We used antonyms for a variety of words.  (3.2, understand antonyms)  We developed robust vocabulary  through discussing a literature selection.  We read story in groups and asked comprehension questions.  In grammar we recognized and used the present and past tenses of come, run, give, go, do, and see.

Math we described and extended number patterns.  We did practice pages 421-422.
