**Our main activity was journal writing.  We have been watching our caterpillars form chrysalis and are anxiously waiting for them to become butterflies.  So the children wrote about what they would do if they were butterflies, just coming out of a chrysalis.
Math: We introduced the dime today and practiced counting a mixture of dimes w/pennies & nickels w/pennies.  Basically this concept is just introduced and not expected to be mastered.  Teaching money and time to kindergartners is sort of like spitting into the wind!
