first hour – Government-  Students were given time to finish assignment over contributions by Locke, Hobbes, Rousseau, Montesquieu, and Blackstone  (political theory and government structure) assignment do at end of class.  Discussed Chapter 9 Presidential leadership Powers of the President,  Personal exercise of power limits on Presidential powers roles of the President leadership qualities and skills.  Discussed 2 political cartoons (Presidential Law Making pg.255 and What the American People Expect pg. 273).

second hour-U.S. History-  Students given time to finish Guided Reading Activities 1-4,  reviewed assignment in class and turned in.  Students given a WWII Battle Time Line (important Battles of WWII).  Discuss  time-line next class meeting.

fourth hour-Democracy-Class discussion over Chapter 19 (four factors of production efficient use of resources-characteristics of markets-consumer rights).  Class interaction over terms Main Ideas,  Critical Thinking & Practice Standardized Test).
