Reading we started with the question of the day.  We reviewed high-frequency words.  We recognized and blended the vowel variant al and ough.  We read words with al, ough, and other known letter sounds.(2.1b, use short/long/r-controlled vowels)  We introduced spelling words with al and ough.  We used details and prior knowledge to make inferences.  (5.2a,make inferences in fiction)  We set a purpose for listening and used details and prior knowledge to make inferences.  We developed robust vocabulary through discussing a literature selection.  In grammar we recognized that some verbs help the main verbs tell about actions in the past.  We identified helping verbs in sentences.  (3.1f, helping verbs)

Math we identified congruent figures and did practice page 373-374.  We identified 2-demensional figures that have a line of symmetry and did practice pages 375-376.  (3.1, identify symmetric and congruent shapes and figures)
