4th Math-  Took a math test over chapter 13,14,15, and 16. (division, finding the mean of a set of numbers, and the order of operation.

4th Language-  Explored articles and how to use them.  Discussed how they are like adjectives.

4th Science-  Reviewed planet facts and took a quiz over the facts.

4th math-  Use the rules for the order of operation (1,2,6,8).  Discussed the definition of an expression.  Assigned 16-4 in the mathworkbook.

4th Language-  Started working on a writing prompt using the writing process.

4th Science-  Explored the parts of our solar system and discussed facts about the planets.  Reviewed for a quiz about the planets.

1st hr. 4th Handwriting/Spelling- Standard 3.5 A-D, 3.6. Practiced writing the letters ll.  Discussed character quote- Education Staying in School. Students picked 10 Spelling words & wrote a sentence with each one, & it had to be at least 5 words long. W.S. 98-99 was due. Test over homophones tomorrow.

2nd hr. 1st P.E.- Dead Ants.

3rd hr. 3rd P.E.- Tryouts for the Poteau Kiwanis Track Meet.

4th hr. 2nd P.E. Dead Ants.

5th hr. Kdg. P.E.- Outside.

6th hr. 4th P.E.- Also, I had Coach Shane Brown’s P.E. class. Played kickball outside.

7th hr. 4th S.S.- “We Really Shine” program @ 2:15.

Reading we started with the question of the day.  We reviewed high-frequency words.  We used common spelling patterns to build and read words.  We reviewed cause and effect.  We reviewed robust vocabulary words.  We identified antonyms.  We identified the prefixes dis, over, pre in longer words.  We talked about the meaning of each prefix.  In grammar we used irregular verbs correctly.

Math we started chapter 19.  We identified 3-dimensional figures and their attributes.  We did practice pages 353-354.  (3.1,identify shapes and figures)

Skills Introduced/Reviewed: Comprehension, blending sounds/letters together to make words, & deleting ending sounds.

Activities:  The children practiced blending sounds/letters together to make words, & deleting ending sounds from words.  They practiced writing words with the same ending sounds & matched words with pictures. They used the Harcourt program on Computers to review letters/sounds we have studied.
Math: pgs. 123 & 124, We introduced halves & fourths.

4th Hour – Personal Financial Literacy:  Lesson 8 Test

5th Hour – Accounting II: Ch 14-4 making adjustments to Uncollectible accounts

6th Hour – Yearbook:     worked on individual page assignments.

7th Hour – Fund. Admin. Tech:  The students worked on chapter 3 Make it Right: inserting rows, moving a range, correcting formulas in a worksheet

Math: We took a practice achievement test and then went over it again.  We will take it again tomorrow.
