Reading we started with the question of the day.  We reviewed high-frequency words.  We recognized and blended the vowel diphthong oi and oy.  We read words with oi, oy, and other known letter sounds.  (1.1 demonstrate awareness of sounds)  We reviewed spelling words.  We used the parts of a book to locate information.  (7.1d, use book parts to locate information)  We identified the purpose for reading, such as to follow directions.  We reviewed robust vocabulary and figured out a word’s meaning based on its context.  In grammar we identified exact and inexact number words.  We used exact and inexact number words in writing.  (3.1g, use adjectives)

Math we used place-value models to regroup 2-digit numbers for subtraction.  We did practice pages 277-278. (2.c, solve 2-digit subtraction)
