1st hr. 4th Handwriting/Spelling- Standard 3.5 A-D, 3.6. Practiced writing g, j, & y. Discussed character quote- Brotherhood Nonviolence.  3 times each & words in agenda were due. I had several who had not finished. Assigned W.S. 73 due tomorrow.

2nd hr. 1st P.E.- Fox & Sheep, The Sharks are Coming.

3rd hr. 3rd P.E.- Basketball. Handed out basketball suits. 3rd-4th game @ Hodgen @ 9:30 tomorrow.

4th hr. 2nd P.E.- Jump over the rope, Limbo.

5th hr. Kdg. P.E.- Jump over the rope, Limbo.

6th hr. 4th P.E.- Basketball. Handed out basketball suits.

7th hr. 4th S.S.- Standard 4: 1-2, 4. Lesson 4 Chapter 8 Lesson Objectives: Described the effects the Great Depression had on Oklahomans, & explained how President Franklin Delano Roosevelt tried to help. Explained what the Dust Bowl was & how it affected the people of Oklahoma. Explained how Govenor “Alfalfa” Bill Murray tried to help.

1rst hour- The students wrote paragraph’s and turned in over a selected article.

2nd hour- I continued the video and covered rib cuts in cattle. I lectured about the cuts and related material during the video.

3rd hour- I started the Animal Industry power point using the Ag. explorations cd. I covered the big areas such as cattle and swine and where they rank in the United States.

5th hour- Same as 1rst hour.

6th hour- Shop Projects.

Reading we started with the question of the day.  We reviewed high-frequency words.  We blended sounds into words and spelled three, four, five, and six letter words with r-controlled vowel.  (2.1b,use r-controlled vowel)  We build robust vocabulary. We developed robust vocabulary through discussing a literature selection.  In grammar we recognized and wrote words that compare in sentences.

Math we reviewd how to estimate to see if an answer is reasonable.

2nd Hour – Fund. Admin.  Tech:   The students worked on Make-it-right 1-1 Book Sales assignment.  The students used  excel to format a worksheet appropriately.

3rd Hour – Accounting I:     Students graded Ch. 8 study guide and we reviewed Ch 8-5 Mastery problem because it will be like the test.  Test will be Thursday.

4th Hour – Personal Financial Literacy:  Took a test over Lesson 2 Taxes.

5th Hour – Accounting II:  completed worksheet for Ch. 12-2, computing social security and medicare tax withholdings from a paycheck.

6th Hour – Yearbook:    the students worked on individual tasks of page design, scanning photos, and taking snapshots.

7th Hour – Fund. Admin. Tech:  The students worked on Make-it-right 1-1 Book Sales assignment.  The students used  excel to format a worksheet appropriately.

Skill/Activity: Today we did Chapter 14 Lesson 2 together in class. It was about ordering numbers to 100. They did the Independent Practice page for a grade.

Language Arts

Focus- Reading, Spelling, and Phonics- Long e.

Activities- Whole Group: Today we reviewed our spelling and robust vocabulary words.  We also practiced phoneme substitution. Small Group: They read their story, decodable, and leveled book with me. They worked on the phonics program on the computer. They wrote their spelling words. They did a word sort with long e words. They also did a worksheet with their spelling words and a phonics worksheet.

1st & 3rd hour: 7th grade Reading

Bellwork was Context Clues 12 on Moodle. Students finished listening to Song of the Trees.

2nd & 6th hour: 6th grade English

Bellwork was handwriting worksheet. I started something new today. I put their lessons 58 & 59, accept & a lot/beside & chose, on moodle, instead of printing them off.

4th & 5th hour: 8th grade Reading

Bellwork was Context Clues 12 on Moodle. Students read pages 616-619, Sound & Sense, and took the open-book quiz over it.
