1st hour Food/Nutrition students cooked chicken for Quesadillas and watched a video over Eggs and the poultry production.

2nd hour FACS 2 class were taking EOI test today.

3rd hour FACS 1 students cooked Quesadillas for Fundraiser.

5th hour Consumer Ed students played Monopoly and Life.

6th hour FACS 1 students watched a powerpoint over meal serving styles and  guidelines for eating etiquette.PASSInformation Literacy-Pg 399-Standard 1.

7th hour Parenting discussed and shared stories of childhood accidents . PASS Language arts – p 119, standard 4.2a

Reading we identified the inflections -er and -est in longer words.  We read longer words with the inflections -er and -est.(understand compound words/contractions/base words/affixes)  We used ea, eigh, ey and other known letter-sounds to spell and write words.  We used story details and what one knows from real life to make inferences.  We reviewed robust vocabulary and understood it in new context.   In grammar we used contractions correctly.  Math we used place value to order numbers.  We did practice pages 419-420.  (2.2c,compare numbers)

Math

Skill-Estimating and measuring length

Activities- Today we practiced drawing straight lines with the rulers. They also drew them to the length I specified. We also did lesson 21. 3 together in class.

PASS- Not included in first grade PASS

Language Arts

Focus- Reading and Spelling: long e spelled y and ie. Grammar: Past tense verbs.

Activities- Today we read our story and reviewed our spelling and robust vocabulary words. Then we reviewed for the achievement test.

PASS- Standard 1.2 Track print as text is being read, 3.1a use short and long vowel patterns, 3.1b Use r-controlled vowel patterns, 3.1c Use blends, digraphs, and diphthongs, 4.3 Use new vocabulary and language in own speech and writing.

Classes with students taking tests worked on rosetta. Other students worked on verb conjugation and vocab for testing

third hour-U.S. History-Reviewed  Chapter 25 test ( question and answer session).  Handed out study guide with information from 1850 to 1975, discussed in class.

fourth hour- Democracy- Discussion of local government and national events.  ( information gathered from newspaper).  Students testing in E.O.I.

fifth hour -Oklahoma History-Went over history words A-Z , defined and discussed.  Have competition next class meeting over history and A-Z history words.

sixth hour- U.S. History- Reviewed Chapter 25 Test (question and answer session).  Handed out study guide with information from 1850 to 1975, discussed in class.

I was gone to the Arkoma Invitational Field Day. We left at 8:15 & returned at 1:50.

1:55- 2: 50 – I let my 4th have free time since we were all exhausted especially me.
